Mondays are mostly crazy... be it traffic on the road or work in office! So even though I leave 10 minutes early, I reach office 10 minutes later than my usual time :( On top of that I had loads of work piled up, so did not get a moment's respite.
Morning juice today was dudhi, grapes and mint.
SInce I have some ice-apple (tadgolas) lying at home, I decide to use them in today's salad. Another favourite is mango... So today's salad is Ice-Apple & Mango Tropical Salad.
And here's the recipe of my Ice-Apple & Mango Tropical Salad:

Ingredients:
4 ice-apples chopped
1 mango chopped
1/4th cup Pomegranate pearls
1/4th cup Microgreens (I have picked a pack of these at Hypercity)
1 cup of all bell peppers - green, red and yellow
1/2 cup white onion (this is less pungent than the regular one and hence can be used in salads more liberally)
For garnishing and dressing
Finely chopped coriander
Salt
Lemon
Method:
Mix all the ingredients just before serving else the ice apples and mango will tend to make everything soggy.
You will love the subtle, tangy, sweet blend of flavours of the ingredients. This salad will also taste better chilled. I have also carried another salad of raw american corn & raw mango with rock salt and lemon. I do not end up eating this for lunch as I feel satiated with the first salad. So I end up eating it at tea-time with a cocktail juice of all fruits. In-between meals I snack on a chikoo, grapes and an orange.
On my way home it is quite humid. I stop for a helping of sugarcane juice, another favourite. On a whim I also pick up some pani puri pani at the local shop which I have once I get home. But my taste buds which are a bit out of practice of having spice for the last two weeks protest. I find the concoction extremely spicy in spite of adding a liberal amount of sweet dates chutney to it.
After this dynamite reaches my tummy, I do not have an appetite for anything. With a tummy burning as much as my mouth, I decide to guzzle a couple of glasses of cold water and finish Day 14.
